This listing was an instant favorite! It is every bit as advertised and some more! I wish I could give it 6 stars.

We stayed a week in this house and had an absolute blast! The interior decoration, mostly Buddhism-themed was very thoughtful and warming. The three separate bedrooms allowed our party of a couple + a friend + a toddler to soundly sleep at night, knowing that the little one wouldn't be able to wander too far in the house.

Every detail was welcoming and heart-warming, and Ed did a great job at making sure we would enjoy our stay. He went to buy a bassinet for our toddler and took it back when we discovered that our daughter was too big for it. It snowed during our stay, and Ed woke up earlier than us to clean doorsteps and pathways. When we arrived in the house, we discovered an impressive amount of food and beverage waiting for us in the kitchen. Among them cheese, bread and wine, while the fridge was stocked with mineral water, orange juice and milk.

The only minor issue I can think of is that the new baseboards on the ground floor are not always secured to the wall, and it seemed that our toddler would always bump in them, making them fall. But I think it just highlights how perfect the whole rest is.

When you rent from Ed you feel as if you are staying at a friend's. He is the most gracious host I've experienced through airbnb. From the snacks and beverages provided upon arrival to the high thread-count linens in the bedrooms, we were surrounded by the comforts of home. Every time we return to Bangor I will be checking Ed's rental first!

This is a terrific find in Bangor. Three of us were traveling on business together. We each got our own bedroom/bed. There was an amazing amount of goodies left to enjoy throughout our stay and the home is comfortable for sitting together at the end of the day. Just perfect! Thanks, Ed.

Ed was quick to respond to preliminary email questions, and helpful with directions and so on.
The apartment was spotless and in very good condition.
Ed was very thoughtful, providing fruit, wine, eggs, butter, milk, OJ, etc., as well as towels, loo paper, etc. He even offered to buy a roasting dish for us to roast a Thanksgiving turkey in.
The location was very convenient for us, and off-street parking was right outside the back door.
Of course, in late November, the outside looked rather bleak, and quite unlike the photograph.
We found the low light levels rather gloomy, and we were unable to figure out how to make the lights brighter. It appeared to be a matter of taste.
We enjoyed our stay, which went without a hitch. The Keurig machine was much appreciated.
