Soak up the secluded splendor of this modern farmhouse in the Cape Winelands. A new expansive view awaits at every turn—admire one side of the mountain range in the light-filled entrance hall, and take in the other from the spacious sitting room that brings the outdoors in with a full-size maple tree and sliding glass doors. The farmhouse is set in a secluded area just a short drive away from the quaint town of Stellenbosch, ripe with many fruit orchards and wine vineyards—some date as far back as the 1650s. Foodies would be wise to pit stop at Foliage, an award-winning restaurant listed as one of the “World’s 50 Best” restaurants. Own transport is recommended, but Uber is available if needed, guests use them often successfully. Gay friendly. Perfectly located.

Lakeside cabin with wood fired hot tub

Rosemary cottage is one of three cabins which rest on the edge of a lake in the heart of the Banhoek conservancy. It is a light filled, modern cabin with a wood fired hot tub, direct access to endless hiking and the finest mountain biking trails in the western cape. Although it is intended as a two person cabin, there is an open queen sized pod attached to the living room which can sleep 2 children or an extra guest for a small extra fee. There is an infrared sauna below the dam for you to use.

Wine Farm Cottage

The cottage offers guests an unique opportunity to stay on a rustic working wine farm. It forms part of the farmstead of a historic wine farm, but has its own little garden with a view over vineyards. It is located on the R44 between Stellenbosch and Somerset West, which makes it the ideal place to reside when exploring the many surrounding wineries and restaurants. The road may be a bit noisy, but most guests hear birds more often than they hear cars. The cottage was built in the 1980’s.

You are welcome to explore the farm and even practice your chipping and putting skills on the green.There is an inverter to provide electricity during loadshedding periods.
