Here you and your companion(s) can experience the quiet and relaxing life on a farm with plenty of adventure awaiting just around the bend. Sit and enjoy a sip of coffee or tea on the front porch while watching the cattle graze the pasture across the road next to a rustic white barn or venture about 3 miles to the largest privately owned lake in Madison County. You won’t forget your time in this romantic, memorable place. The Cottage at Rusted Route Farms is a 1 bedroom beautiful suite on an old 10 acre farm history galore. A picturesque pond is settled next to The Market our onsite Restaurant that will be serving food and drinks to be ready on your arrival or for a certain time that you choose. The over 125 year old barn has been renovated to keep the history alive and is located here on site. This retreat is located right outside Cape Girardeau.

St Francis River: The Blue Yurt and Hot Tub

Let your adventure begin inside the tranquil experience of this 20 ft yurt. Don't let the space fool you, the uniquely curved walls give ample space for a romantic getaway or a relaxing time with friends. The clear dome top provides a magical viewing experience from the queen size bed. The yurt is nestled in the heart of the Ozark Mountains. The expansive, romantically lighted, wrap-around deck provides a panoramic view of the St. Francis River where you can immerse yourself in the hot tub.

A custom-built treehouse located on 10 acres with a water view that you can take in from the hot tub on the deck! It is nestled high in the trees and is the perfect romantic getaway for two! Feel like you are away from it all without being away from it all! This treehouse is located on a county road just minutes from Cape Girardeau. Enjoy catch and release fishing on site, local wineries, shopping in historic downtown Cape Girardeau, local restaurants, gambling, historical sites & more!

Enjoy a comfortable stay at this unique lakeside retreat. This home offers two bedrooms and one bathroom. Start your day with coffee and a view of the lake. You’ll stay a short drive from several surrounding conservation sites. Bring your fishing pole and kayak! End your day relaxing by the fire pit and watching the sunset on the lake. We now offer event rentals for elopements, small wedding receptions, and small family reunions up to 18 people for an additional fee (message for details).
