Welcome to our home: where we have found peace and relaxation for over 20 years. A German native, Big R fell in love with the open land and rolling hills of Wisconsin, becoming a US citizen in the 80s. He met Curly, a Chicago city girl, who brought a little city to his country life. They enjoy raising buffalo and spending warmer days on their porch enjoying the fresh air and beautiful views (with no mosquitos!). Now they want to share their idyllic and peaceful home with you. Drive down a dead-end road and pull up to a rustic cabin filled with high-tech and cozy amenities. We have something for everyone with a gas fireplace, tv (complete with dish, Cinemax, HBO and a Bluetooth sound system), board games and a full kitchen. Take a drink outside to soak in the hot tub or sit around the campfire. When the day is done, you will fall asleep instantly on the memory foam bed, either in the loft or the bedroom, and wake up to a beautiful sunrise looking out over your little getaway.

Tree Bear Cabin, on a 67 acre Tree Farm

Step away from the demands of life into this hidden gem. Tree Bear Cabin is a 100% real wood log cabin above the bustle of town, nestled among a 67-acre tree farm. Enjoy the quiet of the forest, and the cozy cabin interior. Play games on the wide lawn, explore the trails throughout the property, and make the most of your trip with our noon check-in time and 4 pm check-out times! Activities close by include fishing, kayaking, hiking, wine tasting, UTV Tours, and visiting local shops & Orchards!

Driftless Region Cabin/ Stream and Sauna

Settle into a quaint farmhouse nestled in a valley in the rolling, forested hills of the Driftless Region. Start your day with a cup of local coffee on the front porch. Go on a long walk or bike ride, then return to the cottage to cook, play board games, listen the record collection or visit Viroqua (25 minutes) for a farm-to-table 5-star dinner, or check out local music. Build a warm fire outdoors/ warm up by the gas stove indoors, or go down to the stream for a sauna by the cool water creek.

Yuba State Bank Apartment

The Yuba State Bank Apartment is the lower front apartment in a 4-unit commercial brick building. The historically renovated space has a mix of old and new, with hardwood floors, large storefront windows, a full kitchen and bathroom, and the bank vault off one of the two bedrooms. The apartment is located in the quaint village of Yuba (pop. 53), which is the smallest incorporated village in Wisconsin, 15 minutes (11 miles) from Hillsboro. You can grab a drink and meal next door at Louie's Bar.

Walnut Cabin w/Sauna-Dog Friendly

We designed this space for a warm, cozy getaway. The overall goal of the design was a connection with nature and with the one you love, highlighting the beauty of the Driftless region. Use the onsite sauna or outdoor tub for a unique experience. Connect with nature in the Driftless Area of SW Wisconsin, drive to one of the attractions from this central location including the House on the Rock, Taliesin, Devil’s Lake Park, and more. Bring your canine companion as well, there is acreage to roam.

GloryView Ridgetop Bungalow

Farmhouse Bungalow sits on top of a ridge in the Southwest WI driftless area, boasting spectacular views. A site that works for anyone from a relaxing retreat to a great spot for adventures. Fall photography dream, cyclists paradise, star gazing/campfire, hiking, kayaking, canoeing, fly fishing, Frank Lloyd Wright, WI Dells and other local attractions. The home was completely renovated with all the modern conveniences but the Farmhouse charm. A sleeping loft adds additional functionality.

Rustic cabin in an orchard at Echo Valley Farm

Rustic cabin near Wildcat Mountain State Park and Kickapoo Valley Reserve. A quiet place to disconnect, hike, and enjoy the Driftless. The cabin has electricity, supplied water and a non chemical port-o-let, a heater, wood stove (we supply all indoor wood), fire pit and charcoal grill. Our Bakery is open Saturday-Sunday 9-4, May -October or order in advance off season. Short walk from parking to the cabin; we will transport your gear if needed. Enjoy our trails! LGBTQ owned. The Sweet Suite

The Sweet Suite is an upper duplex unit. We are located in the middle of the Driftless Area known for its scenic beauty and charm. A comfortable country atmosphere ideal for relaxation. We welcome traveling nurses! Feel free to inquire about a longer stay. The distance is: 8 miles to Richland Hospital in Richland Center 19 miles to Muscoda Health Center in Muscoda 24 miles to Gundersen St Joseph's Hospital in Hillsboro The location is also ideal for hunters and other sports enthusiasts.

Twin Pines Ridgetop Home

All new renovated home atop a beautiful bluff in the Driftless Area. This house is set perfect for some of the most beautiful views in the area. Enjoy a cup of coffee around the gas fire pit on the front porch overlooking the the valley. Then transition to the back porch at night for more great views around the campfire. Gramps Getaway is a family friendly, all on one level home, You will enjoy the comfy gas fireplace in the Sun Room We have a gas grill on the back deck, lots of yard to roam and a life size Checker board and fire pit area for your enjoyment!
