Truly a one of kind handmade, solar powered home of local materials filled with arts and crafts by local artists and treasures we have collected from around the world. Described by guests as “Asian Vintage” this sunny home sets perched above a year round creek and is surrounded by mature gardens and a forest of bay, oak and fir. About an hour from San Francisco and the Sonoma and Napa Valleys, 1.5 miles from Point Reyes Station and 2 miles from the Point Reyes National Seashore Visitors Center and Golden Gate National Recreation Area. Easily access beaches, waterways and parkland for hiking, swimming, surfing, kayaking, SUP boarding, mountain biking and all that West Marin has to offer. Or just enjoy unwinding in this comfortable and beautiful setting. Stroll down to the Inverness Park Market and Tap Room at the end of the street and enjoy some of the best food and drink in the area with a very local vibe. Entering the upstairs you will find a large living/dining/kitchen space constructed of huge beams, wide plank fir floors from wood milled on the property, a bank of windows with a bird's eye view of the forest and a large stained glass window. A fully equipped kitchen and stocked pantry allows you to cook up the bounty of Point Reyes farmers and purveyors on our vintage O’Keefe and Merritt stove. There is a dishwasher, microwave, toaster, mixer, coffee maker and blender. A Balinese dining table of coconut wood and tiger bamboo seats 6. The living area offers a comfortable pullout couch with a memory foam mattress. There is wifi and a smart TV with steaming Netflix, Hulu Plus and Amazon prime. Or enjoy any of the DVDs from our small library. A stereo tuner with an aux cable allows you to stream music from your 2.5mm jack equipped device. A deck off the living room has a table, chairs and a small gas BBQ. Also on the main floor is a sunroom with floor to ceiling glass and a glass roof, Balinese bamboo furniture, breakfast table and a side deck. The bathroom has a claw foot tub and shower. There is central heating with the thermostat located in the living area. Downstairs is a large, plush carpeted bedroom surrounded with rock walls, huge beams, a queen sleigh bed, lounge area, flat screen TV and a wood stove. Also a small, bright bedroom with a single bed and a small deck attached. An ante room between the bedrooms contains a wash sink and leads to a private rock walled, slate tile floored area with a dual head outdoor shower and hot tub. There is a laundry room for your use with a full sized washer, dryer, utility sink and linen storage. Outside you will find a stone patio with table, chairs and umbrella. There is a carport for 2 cars. Our son, David, lives on the property in a small separate cabin and serves as manager and caretaker. He will most likely be your point of contact here on Airbnb and throughout your stay. Please read the house rules in this listing and the house manual on the desk at the entry when you arrive.

Our 1940's small hand-built cabin is located one house in from the end of a dirt road, and the builder's family still calls it home. Enjoy watching the wildlife: deer, raccoons, quail & many birds that enjoy the yard right outside the window and follow the rhythm of the rising sun & moon.

Immerse yourself in nature at my quiet, cozy compound, blurring the line between indoors & out. Built using reclaimed and green materials to be a garden oasis, both buildings are bright and sunny. **Please note that the bathroom is located in the Studio and the Annex bedroom is a separate building 20' away (see photos). It is located two blocks from the Deer Park trailheads and within easy walking/biking distance to town & shops. There's plenty of storage and closet space for longer-term stays!

Tiny cabin eco retreat

Charming, light filled, minimalist cabin in serene garden setting. Located in Woodacre close to Spirit Rock Meditation Center, just 10 minutes from to the vibrant town of Fairfax, 20 minutes to Point Reyes National seashore, and 45 minutes from San Francisco. Great access to hiking, mountain biking, beaches, shops and restaurants. Full bed in the loft accessible by a ladder. Twin sofa bed is on the ground floor. Friendly hosts in a separate house on the property if you need anything.

Creekside rustic cabin on meadow near beach

This cabin looks out on a beautiful meadow and woods across a creek from the main house. It has a queen bed and a dry toilet. Shared access to outdoor shower, hot tub, Barbecue, and outdoor kitchen  it is near the road, so there can be noise, but generally quiet at night. The owner lives on the property upstairs in the main house. Other guests may be staying in the main house and in other cabins. We clean Spider (harmless) webs and deter mice but some may be around. Log Cabin on the Hill

A real log cabin just 15 minutes from wineries, the horse park and the raceway; close to beaches and SF. Three bedrooms sleep up to 7. The primary bedroom on the main floor has a king bed. The lower level has one bedroom with a queen and a twin; and another with a queen bed and a work space. One full bath on each level.
