The Griffin is a functioning riverboat, driven by paddle wheels, originally modeled after historic Mississippi steamboats. Bunk with the Birds -kinda. Sleep in sight of the chickens in this tiny, rustic bunk house. 1/3 of the structure is for the chickens, the other 2/3 is for you - separated by glass. It's a chicken aquarium / PEEP SHOW! The Coop has 3 twins and a full-sized mattress. It is BYO Bedding so come with sheets and/or sleeping bag and pillows. There is a solar charger to charge small devices and run the lamp and fan. The structure is seasonally heated with a Porta Potty near-by, bring a flashlight!

PINES YURT (Near Duluth/Jay Cook State Park)

Experience a rustic glamping adventure! Nestled on the border of Jay Cooke State Park(~15 min from Duluth), you will be surrounded by nature and wildlife, sheltered by the canvas ‘yurt’ and enjoy the night sky in a cozy bed. Located a short ~1/4 mile hike from your parking spot, there is a shared porta-potty (~150 yrds away, but NO running water or shower), a small solar powered battery providing lights/limited power. This rental is NOT heated. Guests supply necessary water for their stay.

Upon your arrival to Buffalo Valley you will receive a warm welcome with an escort to your house by the host, in the beautiful north woods. At check in you will receive a key to the cabin. (Please note that the house capacity is 6 guests, no exceptions. We also have a NO pet policy.) There is a guide book that gives you all the information you will need. You will love how remote you are, yet so close to town. Enjoy the fire pit and sauna in the comforts of the wilderness!
