Upscale urban environment. This is a nice area to visit restaurants, the Chess Hall of Fame or the Basilica, and it is adjacent to Forest Park. That makes it a great place for lunch or dinner when spending a day touring the museums or attending an event at the park. Metered street parking can be difficult to find on weekend evenings, but it's easier during the week and daytime. Sunday, parking is free. Garage parking is always available. You may need to look on a map to find where it is since it's located behind or on top of other buildings.
