Only 12-minutes from Oberon & not on a noisy main road, our Cottage had its humble beginnings back in 1890s as a pisé or rammed-earth farm worker’s dwelling. It has been lovingly transformed into a warm, comfortable & modern country residence. Wadella Farmhouse & Farm stay

Built in 1854 this 3brm secluded cottage on our farm stay is where you can enjoy the peacefulness of the country with all the comforts of the modern day and only 20min from Bathurst city centre. Relaxing on the wrap around balcony you will hear the sounds of the rivulet below, the birdlife and farm animals which we invite you to come and meet and feed in the afternoons. Inside is everything you need including the comfort of a fireplace or A/C in the summer.

It has a gorgeous 2 bedroom cottage (60m2) on 17 acres. Curl up in front of the combustion fire, take in the amazing views, wander around the property and find the creek, talk to the sheep and alpacas, listen to old time records or explore surrounding countryside. You will be very comfortable in the Bathurst heritage precinct when you stay in our centrally located cottage. The cottage is a 5 minute stroll (i.e 3 city blocks) to the city centre including cafes, shops, pubs, clubs, cinema, parks and the Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre (BMEC). We have a high chair, change table and cot on request. Pets are welcome at Maeve’s Cottage for an additional fee.
