Set in the beautiful countryside of Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, this is an ideal base for both active and relaxing breaks. Walks and cycling trails start at the door. Lochs Achray and Venachar are within walking distance, spectacular Loch Katrine is just 10 minutes away by car while historic Stirling is within easy reach. Upstairs are two bright, ensuite bedrooms (one standard UK double, one king or twin). Downstairs is an open-plan living space, well-equipped kitchen and wet room.

It was converted many years ago into a detached dwelling which is now available for you to use exclusively. ‘Bonny Strathyre’ is often nicknamed ‘the gateway to the Highlands’ and is an ideal location for ramblers, cyclists, hill walkers, folk touring Scotland, for those who just want time to relax and to ‘get away from it all’ or maybe just to spend quality time with friends/ family. Short Term Let Licence No ST00306F A former blacksmiths workshop lovingly modernised to provide a bright and comfortable cottage. Located on the waters edge of Loch Katrine in the heart of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen with washer/dryer, microwave, dishwasher etc. Linens are provided for your stay. For the 2026 season, we have a new hot tub and sauna available. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate a Sunday arrival or departure.

The Stable is a ground floor semi detached studio cottage situated in a private 40 acre estate with panoramic views of the Lake of Menteith, private covered porch, gas barbecue, freesat TV, DVD player, docking station and White Company linen. We have a corporate membership of Forrest Hills Hotel and Spa (c12 minutes drive from the cottage) which allows our guests access to their swimming pool, steam room, sauna and Spa and billiards room at no cost apart from individual spa treatments).

Ben View Cottage: Peaceful Trossachs Retreat

Ben View cottage in the Trossachs National Park is a cosy and comfortable base from which to explore the area. Located in the peaceful hamlet of Brig O’Turk, it is nestled between two lochs and surrounded by beautiful scenery. It has a well-equipped kitchen, a lounge/dining area and a separate bathroom. The cottage has good WiFi. Dogs are very welcome. The area is especially wonderful for walkers, wild swimmers and cyclists. Next to the cottage is a small garden with views of Ben Venue.

Enjoy Oakdene Cottage and its great views with hosts next door. Dog friendly with nearly an acre of established garden and space to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of the area whilst being relatively close to Glasgow with good connections and only ~50 minutes from Glasgow Airport. Please bear in mind that there are steps up to up access the cottage from either door: thus, if you have reduced mobility, sadly, Oakdene may not be for you.
