Perfect stay for exploring south Iceland and enjoy nature and the northern lights in winter. Beautiful cabin by the river Hvítá in a prime location in the Golden Circle. Near Gullfoss and Geysir and only 100 km to the capital city Reykjavík. The cabin can accommodate 2-4 persons. One bedroom with beds for two people. In the living room there is a pull-out sofa for two persons. The kitchen is fully stocked. The bathroom has a shower and the laundry room has a washing machine and a dryer.

The location is ideal to see the Northern Lights (September to April 15) and for excursions to many of Iceland's most famous sights: Waterfalls Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss, Reynisfjara beach, Geysir hot springs and Gullfoss waterfall. Only 25 minutes drive to Vík. The apartment is named after the hag Gilitrutt wich is a folktale about a hag that supposingly lived in the mountain behind the apartment.
