For your comfort, the apartment has its own heating and cooling controls, with separate programmable thermostats for upstairs and downstairs. By bus: 5 minutes on foot from the Trailways bus terminal, about 2 hours from the Port Authority By car: 3 minutes from exit 19 of I-87, about a 90-minute drive from the GW bridge. By train: 20 minutes by car from the Rhinecliff Amtrak station, about 2 hours by train from Penn Station If you're coming by car, parking is free on our street, and finding a spot is usually pretty easy on weekends and weekdays after 5pm. Otherwise, there are 3 paid municipal lots you can use, all within two blocks. We've taken a lot of care to preserve the original wide-board floors, but since they came from trees that started growing before Henry Hudson came up the river, they're crooked and creaky. Take care when walking on them and the stairs to the bedrooms upstairs, and feel free to use the slippers we've provided.

A bit of rustic and a bit of classic. Out the back , overlooking the field is a patio space that is accessible for your use, weather permitting. We have snacks and basics for meal preparation. Breakfast stuff such as eggs, muffins, and oatmeal. The kitchen is stocked for guest use. You're welcome to enjoy the pond and picnic area. There are plenty of good restaurants in the surrounding area, from bar food to fine dining. Hiking in the Catskills is abundant, with routes of differing ranges of difficulty. Summer brings festivals, while winter brings snow activities. There's a bus stop in Woodstock if you don't drive and taxi service from there. It's fine if you plan to stay in, but if you want to get around to other places it's best to drive. We have a several flyers and local magazines in the foyer for ideas on where to go and what to see. On the door are the basic guidelines and on the desk is a binder of information on local restaurants, stores, ect... If you need other resources please feel free to ask.
