My Sunshine on the Bay

"My Sunshine on the Bay" is a beautifully restored cottage built between 1940 and 1950. The home was well maintained through the years which kept most of its original features intact. It's located in a quiet community on Pierre Part Bay just 2 minutes from Lake Verret. Great area for all water sports and fishing ! There is a boat launch and bait shop steps away,. Relax on the swing by the bay and watch eagles, pelicans and other wildlife feeding nearby or bring your bike and tour the area.

Built in 1929, this old cozy country home was built with a country store. In the 50’s they were joined. A big room was added to the store portion, and is now a very unique meeting hall that features live music on occasion. Not part of the inn rental, but this space can be rented as well. Fish from the rear deck and clean fish at the on site cleaning station. . 2 wood swings and a park style charcoal grill.

Our quaint yellow cottage sits on a quiet street where you have plenty of space to hear the cicadas and breathe in the Louisiana air. We're situated directly on the Amite River and this cottage is perfect for anyone who loves to fish! We provide a place to dock your boat, and can even recommend the best routes along the river that we often take ourselves. Please note that we do not allow pets at the cottage so get your fur babies a sitter and come on down.

Take it easy at this unique getaway. Located on Bayou Manchac on a gated 6 acre estate. The Blue Heron Guest House is a great place to just get away, enjoy nature, canoe (provided), fish the pond or the bayou, birdwatching (lots of birds), etc. The property does have a boat slip and a small boat launch for those who want to explore the area by boat. Bayou Manchac connects to the Amite River nearby. We can’t wait to share our paradise with you!
