It's about a 15 minute drive from Your Comfy Indy Suite, but well worth the trip. This is our "go to" place for fish. A local family-owned restaurant in nearby Wanamaker, Wheatley's has been serving perfectly battered fresh fried fish for decades now. Only open for breakfast and lunch during the week. On Friday nights they stay open for dinner, and usually have live music at the outdoor patio during the warm weather months.

During the COVID restrictions, fans of Long's Bakery lined up 6 feet apart outside in the rain waiting for their turn to get inside for some of the best donuts around. You gotta try a cinnamon fritter if you go. These legendary donuts are only 5 minutes away at 2301 E Southport Rd. The love of Long's Bakery runs deep in Indy. One of our favorite local pizza spots. Dough is freshly made in-house, the prices are fair, the service is great. Covered outdoor patio dining available during warm weather. Their thin crust pizza is cracker crisp, and the bread-sticks are always fresh-baked and warm.

A long-time Blues Bar in downtown Indy, the Noodle features regional bands on a regular basis, and hosts an open-stage Blues Jam every Wednesday evening. Bring your instrument and sign-up to jam!
