The spacious Enchanted Forest Studio is named for the beautiful native Hawaiian forest, our home is nestled in. When you see the amazing tree ferns here you will indeed know why we call it an enchanted forest experience.

The private upstairs Studio, located away from the main house, provides a bird's eye view into the forest. The unit has a private bath with an extra-large shower, an outdoor balcony, a corner fireplace, small refrigerator and a single burner electric stove, toaster, rice maker, and electric kettle. Coffee and coffee maker are also provided along with bottled water, fruit drinks, and some snacks. Unit features a SMART TV and a DVD player. The centerpiece of the Enchanted Forest Studio is a dream -the -night- away King bed adorned with tropical bedding. There is a twin day bed with trundle and a pack n play. This is a perfect room for a romantic couple, friends traveling together or a family with children. You will also have access to the gas grill (available on request) and patio furniture on the lanai for a relaxing evening listening to the sounds of the forest.

We are nestled in a native Hawaiian rain forest of giant ferns and Ohia trees just outside the entrance to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, in the storybook arts community of Volcano Village. The property is located in Mauna Loa Estates on a dead end street and is very private.

Aloha friends, we are the new owners of the Lava Pond Lodge. My name is Sarah, and this is my husband Leo. Leo and I are mainland professionals with a dream to own and operate our own business and B&B. Having visited the Big Island and the Lava Pond Lodge on our honeymoon we fell in love with Hawai'i and the property.

We purchased the Lava Pond Lodge in early January 2021 and we are extremely excited for what this endeavor has instore for us. We are leaving the property for the most part unchanged and only making minor updates here and there. Why change a good thing if it is working, right?

During these uncertain times we are very COVID minded and echo the messaging on the Big Island. We are going to great lengths to keep our 'ohana safe and are Covid Compliant. As our guests you are a part of our ohana (family) and we want you to be comfortable and safe when you visit us.
