The Bamboo apartment exclusively occupies the entire ground floor within a single family home, and has its own private entrance. It sits across the bridge from the University of Washington, just a quick one-mile walk to the light rail station, Husky stadium, and the University of Washington Medical Center. This spacious apartment has warm wood overtone, comfortable furniture, and good light. There are two private bedrooms, a kitchenette, and the other amenities of home.

From the entrance, you take two steps down into the apartment. There is a kitchen table set for two, but two more chairs are the closet (along with clothes drying rack, ironing board, recycling bin, broom, vacuum and laundry bin). You can pull the table off the wall to seat four. In the kitchenette, there is a toaster oven, microwave, coffee pot, crockpot, blender, and instant hot water kettle. There is a large closet in the bedroom with the queen bed and plenty of shelves and a dresser in the smaller bedroom. The bunk beds are made up in the European style, with no flat sheets, only a fluffy comforter encased in a sheet to snuggle into.

We sit in the heart of Montlake, which is a quiet residential neighborhood centrally located in Seattle. We have quick access to the 520 highway, which will get you to downtown Bellevue or Seattle in short order. Mont Lake also sits near parks. There is Interlaken Park, Volunteer Park, and Washington Park, all within a few minutes walk. Down the hill from the apartment are convenience stores, restaurants, and an excellent coffee shop called Fuel. We are also very close to the Burke-Gilman trail, which is another good place to walk, and will take you up to the University Village shopping center.
Parking is available on E. Newton Street, and there is one pass available so you don’t get a ticket when the Husky football team has a home game.

Our family resides upstairs, so there is some natural everyday life noise that travels through this one-hundred-year-old house, but we are mindful of you and do our best to live in stocking feet, play soft music, and use our inside voices.

The apartment has a private entrance, so you can come and go as you please. Guests are welcome to all areas of the apartment except the few closets and a storage room that is kept locked. An interior stair connects the apartment to the main house upstairs; however, we keep the separating door locked for your privacy.
