UPDATE ON THE CITY OF EDINBURGH COUNCIL PARKING RESTRICTIONS

As of 11 April 2021, the City of Edinburgh Council are introducing Sunday parking charges in Zones 1 to 4. If you intend to drive into the City Centre and park, please be vigilant and check the rules and pricing strategy before you park. Evergreen Property will not be held liable for any parking charges incurred.



COVID 19 - Cleaning

The head of our cleaning team has been working closely with the Association of Scotland's Self-caterers, who in turn have been informing the Scottish Government Policy on cleaning in self-catering units. We are positive that our renewed cleaning protocol goes and above and beyond the needs to eradicate chances of any cross-infection.

COVID 19:

Guest restrictions. Please note, we may require documents for verification such as employment letter, midwife letter, funeral director's letter etc for our evidence in case we are inspected. . Without verification documents, you may be charged but not granted access.

If you are coming from within the UK, we will allow bookings from 26th April without verification, but if you are travelling internationally, we would be wary of accepting requests before Mid-May.

Mainland Scotland entered Tier 4 on 26th December 2020. We are severely limited in the type of guests we can accept. Please look at the list below. If you use Instant Book and your reservation type is not listed below, you will not be granted access to the property but we would reserve the right to refuse to refund you.

All holiday accommodation is closed to tourism. Hotels, B&Bs and self-catering can remain open for essential customers only:

anyone who is using that accommodation for work purposes

anyone who requires accommodation to attend a funeral

anyone who is providing accommodation or support services to the homeless

anyone who uses that accommodation as their main residence

anyone who needs accommodation while moving home

anyone who is unable to return to their main residence

anyone who requires accommodation to attend a marriage ceremony or civil partnership registration

anyone who requires accommodation to participate in or facilitate shared parenting arrangements

When providing accommodation to workers, this should only be open for essential workers who require accommodation as part of their role.

Breaching the restrictions in the Regulations is a criminal offence, unless you have a “reasonable excuse” for doing so. This means that accommodation providers may offer accommodation to customers in other circumstances provided it is an essential purpose. An example of this would be where someone needs accommodation for an essential hospital visit.

If in doubt, please message us and we will let you know whether we can accept your booking request.

Please also be aware of the ever-changing rules and that Scotland is different from England and Wales with our own rules regarding accommodation. For example, if you are travelling with two households, please be aware that this is not possible until 17th May and may change.
