Our little cottage is a great place to start or end your travels down the Great Ocean Road or begin that trip back to Melbourne. Please note we are NOT the Ritz-Carlton, so please don’t expect that. Simply walk downstairs & you are on the main street, to your right a safe swimming beach. 10 minutes drive to 12 apostles. Accommodation more suited for adults.

Halcyon is an ideal holiday cottage for couples, families and small groups of friends looking for a relaxing getaway in Peterborough. Fall asleep with the sound of the ocean waves close by. Peterborough is also close to all the major attractions including Bay of Islands, Bay of Martyrs, London Bridge, Loch Ard Gorge, 12 Apostles, Gibson Steps and the Gourmet Food Trail. NOT suitable for parties! Any loud noise after 10pm and you will be asked to leave. There is one toilet only.

Your host Barbara has lived in the area her whole life and can share her knowledge with you easily as she lives on site. Centrally located in the township it is an easy 5 minute walk to shops, restaurants and the beach. There is shared free parking with easy access to your private self contained living area.

The Misty Dunes Woodshed

Named after the iconic Peterborough coastal sand dunes located 2 minutes away on the Great Ocean Road, this upcycled woodshed came to be when we, Bronte and Hayley purchased the 2-acre property at the start of 2020. Handmade from mostly salvaged and recycled products, what once was an old corrugated woodshed, is now an eye-catching and unique space, made with the sole purpose to relax, escape and appreciate the perfect blend of bush and sea.
