Our contemporary cabin is located 10 minutes (6 miles) from the town of Telluride. We are 2.7 miles form the Town of Mountain Village Gondola parking structure. The Gondola is a fun, free ride to town. Once a home to your hosts Dan and Angela, the Powderhouse has been transformed into their perfect guesthouse that is 100% Ouray! - Dogs are welcome (only 2 at a time) no cats please.

Backcountry Basecamp 1

The cabin is located in Lake City directly across from the visitor center, movie theater, and post office. It was built in 2019. The cabin is 420 sq ft and includes a bathroom with large shower, a kitchen, a laundry room, two private decks, private little yard with fire pit, and parking. It is a studio type set up. It is attached but separate to a larger 1900 sq ft cabin that is also for rent.

The cabin has Air conditioner Hulu TV, High Speed fiber WIFI, king bed, (new mattress may 2020!) and a queen sofa sleeper in the den. Also a full kitchen. Everyone loves the privacy of the cabin and being close to everything in Ouray! If you need anything else just ask we have an onsite caretaker that can help answer questions or get you whatever you might need for your stay.
