For the adventurous, we offer suggestions for local walks, runs, kayaking, climbing, & cycling. Whether you're an outdoor enthusiast or just looking to relax, there's something here for everyone. Perfect for walkers, the village of Belstone is on the north edge of Dartmoor National Park, yet only 5 minutes from the A30. Sheep and ponies graze freely through the village, and as you walk past the excellent Tors Inn the moor opens up giving access to hiking, biking and horse riding activities. Once you have arrived in Belstone you can leave your car and simply enjoy the walks and outdoor pursuits Dartmoor has to offer. Okehampton with it's range of shops is an easy 10 minute drive away.

Tawleat is a 3 double BR Grade II listed thatched cottage in the village of Sticklepath, within Dartmoor National Park. Built in the 1770s, it has modern amenities while retaining its periodic charm. There is a large formal self enclosed rear garden, and a meadow to the rear of the property accessed by crossing a foot bridge over the river Taw. You have approximately an acre for your use only. Access to the moor is through the meadow, and the house is within 50 m of the village pubs & shop.

From April to August, wander 50m down the road to a five-acre wildflower meadow with a Dartmoor stream and a collection of wild orchids & swathes of native wildflowers.
