Carmel By the Canyon

Our studio is located in Carmel, less than a mile from the town center. The house faces out over Hatton Canyon and affords a private rural setting yet close to Big Sur, Pebble Beach, Monterey, etc. 15 Minute walk to Carmel downtown. A hub to explore Big Sur and all the Monterey Peninsula has to offer. Due to certain regulatory changes regarding minimum stay, the dates you are requesting may not be available. While we prefer longer stays, do make an inquiry to us about the dates you want.

Guesthouse Carmel Highlands ~ Ocean Views ~

Serene fully-furnished 900 sq. ft. studio guesthouse 6 blocks up the hill from the beach, with 180 degree ocean-view, and 180 degree mountain and wilderness view from a private balcony. The guesthouse is artfully decorated, and is quiet. Our whole neighborhood is affluent and beautiful with plenty of beaches to explore. It is the perfect place to stay and visit remote Big Sur to the south, but also be close to the incredible restaurants & shops in Carmel. Our guests prefer a no pets policy.

Sades Loft is located in a fairytale cottage in the heart of downtown Carmel-By-The-Sea. The upstairs loft has its own private entry on Ocean Avenue. Open your front door and explore downtown Carmel or take a 10 minute stroll down to the beach. Once a VIP room where Hollywood & local legends gathered late into the night, today, the Loft is a relaxing spot where you can listen to soft music from the restaurant below or watch passerby's buying old fashioned candy from the Cottage of Sweets.

Visit with our alpacas, horses, giant tortoises, goats, sheep, donkey and more! Wake up to sunshine, fresh air and the donkey braying for breakfast! *** PLEASE READ DESCRIPTION BEFORE BOOKING *** This studio guest suite has a private entrance, and private parking. It is a walk out basement apartment that is located under our main residence. There is no accessibility between the main house and the suite. We are located in a country setting, but just minutes from Carmel-by-the-Sea or Monterey. The home is in a very quiet, peaceful, rural setting. Enjoy the fresh air, and the sunlight through the beautiful oaks.

This charming 1930s cabin boasts a striking stone-tiled fireplace and an eclectic mix of furnishings, all drenched in natural light from skylight windows. Grab a blanket and a warm drink and sit out on the patio to catch some early morning rays. Nestled into a grove of redwoods in Palo Colorado Canyon, the cabin is about 10 miles south of Carmel-By-The-Sea. It’s a short drive from the Route-1 coastal highway, which offers stunning scenic drives south toward Big Sur.

Nestled under towering redwoods beside a creek, it’s a step beyond glamping — raw, cozy, and off-grid. No cell service & limited WiFi, just nature’s rhythm, forest scents, and quiet. The studio cabin has a queen bed, Murphy bed, and private backyard. If you’re looking to unplug and reconnect, this is your haven.

Fancy-Free by the Sea

Petite but sweet studio built by our grandfather, Chaz, in 1940. It is one of four units formerly known as Piney Woods Lodge, where our grandparents welcomed travelers for years. We're excited to return Francy Free to its roots and hope you will join us (two sisters) in continuing their legacy. Studio is ground-level, easy to access and a short (1/2 mile) stroll through the woods to downtown and iconic Carmel beach.
