Manaakitanga is a Maori word that loosely translates to hospitality. Joanne offers hospitality that inspires a genuine care for all visitors who are made to feel very welcome. We are only 75mins drive north of Auckland, 10 mins off the number one highway. The cottage is built from beautiful untreated hardwoods set in a tranquil private spot, nestled on the edge of a regenerating native forest. The cottage is only a 2min walk down to the beautiful Kaipara Harbour. Our place is part of a 25 year old 300 acre organic permaculture farm, which we were instrumental in setting up as a working farm and village style subdivision.

This charming, very private, self-contained cottage is set in the middle of our organic citrus orchard, just 5 km outside of Kerikeri. Quiet, very spacious grounds, pool, friendly animals and everything you need to relax and explore the area. It's full insulation, double glazed windows, heat pump/aircon and mosquito screens make it the perfect base to explore all the beautiful sights the Bay of Island has to offer.

A lovely fully equipped modern cottage in a rural setting on the beautiful Kaipara Harbour (only 90 mins north of Auckland). Peaceful and private, you can lounge on the bean bags on the deck, or watch the tui as you soak in the bath. Native bush runs down to an estuary outside your floor to ceiling windows. Sheep, dogs, ducks and birdlife share the property with you as well as the occassional peacock harem.
