Hackle Lodge

Two hours from Johannesburg, and one and a half hours from Pretoria, High in the Mpumalanga Mountains. Hackle is quietly situated on a mountain estate that is home to many wild birds and animals. It boasts 4 trout fishing dams. There's a SPA at the hotel. Putt Putt, swimming pool, tennis court, and many more fun things to do. We have about 12 Kms of farm roads before you enter through the big Kloppenheim Hotel estate, which is where we are situated. We have an inverter for load shedding.

If you are looking for a place to disappear with friends or family and connect in a serene environment, then At The Rocks is your best choice. We are situated at least 15km from Solomon Mahlangu/ Sliverlakes area and 30km from Menlyn. The Cullinan diamond mine is 18km away. We can accommodate 26 people sleeping and about 50 guests day visitors for events. We host intimate conferences. Our entertainment area includes the use of a full kitchen, spit braai , swimming pool and a Boma.

The Writer's House, Waterval Boven

This rustic, down-to-earth home is close to the escarpment edge & historical sites; there's also rock climbing, hiking, abseiling, birding, trout fishing & horse riding in the region. You'll love the fresh air, night skies, crackling winter fires, bookshelves, peace & tranquillity. Importantly, it's free of modern-day distractions (no TV or radio). The home is popular with climbers, folk travelling between Gauteng and Maputo, or friends & families seeking to bond and reconnect.

Sedgehog Cottage at Woolly Bugger Farm

Sedgehog is a small family cottage, ideal for a family of four looking for a rural escape in the African bush. The cottage features one downstairs bedroom with a king bed and one loft bedroom with two single beds, while the spacious living area is perfect for family games night. Sedgehog’s concertina doors can be folded open to expose the entire living space to a gorgeous hillside view, seamlessly blending the indoor and outdoor. This cottage is pet friendly.

Morgenzon trout & game farm

This is an old stone farm house on a 470 hectare farm. It can accommodate twelve people. It has five different dams for trout fishing (we have a catch and release policy). There are also many beautiful walking trails with a variety of game to see. Guest have access to the entire farm 15-20 minute drive from Dullstroom. Google Maps using "Morgenzon trout an game farm". House and gate will be open for you upon arrival. High clearance vehicle recommended.

Rand Self-catering - Unit 4, in Carolina

Rand Self-catering Accommodation offers clean and comfortable Self-catering accommodation in the town of Carolina, Mpumalanga. Carolina is situated in a grass and wetlands region and offers an array of bird life, hiking trails, and watersports. The little town of Carolina is situated on the Johannesburg to Swaziland route and it is also a convenient stopover for guests travelling to and from Kruger National Park and to Drakensberg mountains.
