Little Cottage in the Wood

Small cottage in South Harbour, on the Cabot Trail. Small bedrooms are clean and comfortable. Queen mattress is considered"plush". Shops, restaurants, museums, hiking trails, whale tours, other adventures and beaches nearby. Just beside Highlands National Park entrance which is convenient for those who are nature lovers and enjoy hiking trails in the park. It is secluded by trees. ( Cottage is not a good fit for young children, as the utility panels are located in unlocked closets.)

The Trailhead Guest Cottage

Our peaceful oceanfront guest cottage is situated at the head of the 9.5 km Pollett's Cove hiking trail.  We recommend a two night stay - first night, settle in with a beverage, evening sunset and star gazing.  Wake to coffee and farm fresh breakfast delivered to your door step (except in August when we are on vacation), before hitting the trail to Pollett's Cove, the Skyline or any of the 30 other nearby national park trails. Have a swim, and return to a hot outdoor shower. Repeat!

This comfortable three bed, one bath, rustic cottage is the perfect place for a group getaway. Enjoy your stay in Northern Cape Breton in this newly remodelled apartment! It's 7 minutes from the Cabot Trail in Sugar Loaf, NS (Dingwall is our mailing address). It's a short walk to the Ocean down our driveway with Mountain views. Wi-Fi and parking are included. The home itself was built around 1880. It has been a lodge and Inn since then. There's a General store in the house, not active as a store but somewhat of a museum that will be opened in the future.

Cottage #3 holds a maximum of 2 people. This cottage has one bedroom with one double bed. Ideal for the couple that travels light. The living room features satellite tv and wifi. The kitchen is fully equipped with a refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffee maker and utensils. The bathroom has a 48 inch fiberglass shower.
