Welcome to Charlotte’s Place in the beautiful little town of Clarens in the Orange Free State. We have made every effort to make your time with us as comfortable as possible. During your stay you can enjoy the peace and tranquillity that Clarens has to offer and which is surrounded by the beautiful Maluti Mountains. Due to load shedding we have installed an inverter for your convenience as well as a tank to supply the house with water when the towns water pumps can’t pump due to load shedding

Amazing Mountain Views - Peaceful Close to Village

Wake to stunning mountain views from bed at Gentle Presence Cottages! This Cottage offers self-catering for 6 and has been lovingly decorated using a mixture of antiques and modern furnishings to make guests feel right at home. Built in the 1900’s as stables, this Cottage is one of the oldest buildings in Clarens and it's thought that farmers would arrive by ox-wagon before sharing Nagmaal (Holy Communion). There are 2 Cottages on the premises, set apart and with own entrances for privacy.

Llandaff 3 Gorges House and Cottages

Llandaff House Van Reenen is 4 bedroom California style house built in 1950's. Perched on the edge of the escarpment with a fabulous view. Laze for days in front of the massive fireplace, or venture out and explore one of the 3 gorges. Start your holiday here on route to the coast or meet friends mid-way from JHB & Durban for a getaway or celebration, or a wedding at the little church just up the road. The best kept secret 2km off the N3 on the Van Reenen's Pass. We also have 2 cottages.

Four Good Seasons

A stunning house filled with bright, natural light. River frontage and valley and mountain views. Two sitting rooms, both with DSTV so you can have sport and cooking on at the same time! Only 6 minutes drive from The Clarens Square and 26 restaurants, yet you can unwind completely in the peacefulness of the wind and sunshine. Lovely walks. Electric blankets and wood burning fires , fully equipped kitchen, 4.5 bathrooms for 6 bedrooms including one with 4 bunk beds. It's huge but homely.

2 Zebra View Cathkin estate, in the picturesque tranquil valley, Central Drakensberg Kwa-Zulu Natal. Nestled against Ukahlamba Drakensberg park, world heritage site. Covers 1000 hectares of virgin grasslands, indigenous forests, crystal clear mountain streams. An abundance of animal, plant species, including Eland. Unobstructed views of Cathkin peak mountains. Services/activities include trout fishing, hiking trails, game viewing, mountain biking and professional security 24 hours.

Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space. Summertime walks around the Estate or fireside chilling in winter, our home is comfortable and inviting. Two full ensuite bedrooms, and wonderful open-plan living facilities with a patio. The Estate is very close to the centre of Clarens where you can explore art galleries and grab lunch or dinner or a drink at one of the many restaurants. Nestled under beautiful Mt Horeb, this will feel like a home away from home.

Clarens House Self Catering Holiday Home

Clarens House is a modern minimalistic home, with unique features, a spacious open plan living area, and creative, relaxing outdoor areas to enjoy. The house sleeps 4 guests in two ensuite bedrooms. The arrangement is open plan bedroom/bathroom upstairs and closed bathroom downstairs. A minute's walk to shops and restaurants. There is an indoor braai which acts as a fireplace. Smart TV, DSTV and wifi provided. Additional guests or children will attract extra cost.

The Stone Cottage

This cosy stone cottage was built in 1902 by the first Dillons on Waterfall Farm. Now totally refurbished but with all the original charm, it offers the most unique farm stay. The iconic Waterfall on a pristine stretch of the Wilge River is a short walk away. If you are looking for fresh air, beautiful scenery, endless walks, peace and wide views come and make memories in our special family-friendly cottage.

Dragon View Estate, Central Drakensberg

Set on a private eco-estate. Dragon View Estate is situated in the heart of the much loved, Champagne Valley. Centrally located close to family-friendly activities including 2 golf courses, hiking, the reptile centre, the extreme adventure centre, Drakensberg Boys Choir, Bakeries and Restaurants. A Saverite grocery store is also available a couple of Kms away. Great for families, and larger groups.
