We have two ensuite bedrooms set in the converted former West Church at Latheron on the NC500 route. Two guests per room. Each room is furnished to a high standard and the setting has a full operating licence as required by Highland Council. Tea making facilities and in room basket breakfast provided. Outlook from the building is to the North Sea and central location allows for opportunity to explore the locality taking in some of the places of interest as well as accessing many local eateries

The king bedroom is on the ground floor with views of Thurso Bay and Dunnet Head. Within the room are fitted wardrobes, charging points and tea/coffee making facilities and a fridge. A continental breakfast is served in the room. Our home is situated above Scrabster harbour, it is a 15-20 minute walk to catch the Orkney ferry. Alternatively it is a great place to stay if you're working in the area or exploring Caithness. If you're passing through on the NC500 this is ideal as a stopping point

The Highland Haven, converted barn, John O'Groats

The Highland Haven is perfect for those travelling the NC500 or visiting Orkney in a group. Our two rooms have traditional box beds and can sleep up to 10 (4 in one room, 6 in the other), each with Ensuite and an extra wet room. There is a large open plan kitchen, dining, lounging area surrounding a wood burner. We have secure parking, free laundry facilities and WIFI . Our location is stunning and full of wildlife. All on one level, the property is wheelchair accessible throughout. It has stunning views across Hoy Sound and out to the open Atlantic. Parking is available right outside, but if you visit without a car, regular buses from Stromness go to all areas of Orkney.
