Faiche an Traoin (Faish an Trown) means Field of the Corncrake, birds that once inhabited this area. It was built in 2020, has 2 double bedrooms, large lounge/dining area/kitchen and bathroom with walk in shower. It is located in the village of Dunan, 5 miles from Broadford. The house is directly above the seashore with views to the Island of Scalpay across Loch na Cairidh, the Old man of Storr and to the mountains of the mainland and the wall to ceiling windows highlight the beautiful views

Guests can walk across the road and down grass to the shore which takes approx 5 minutes. The house has the feel of a traditional croft cottage with all the amenities of the modern day. The nearest village is Broadford which is a 10 minute drive and has a variety of shops and restaurants to enjoy.

The Bay -1 bedroom apartment

The Bay is a stylish 1 bedroom apartment situated metres from the shore on the edge of Broadford Bay. It has an open plan fully equipped kitchen/living room which opens out onto a private decking area. The kitchen has a hob, oven & microwave, an under counter fridge with small icebox. Though annexed to the main house it has its own private entrance and parking. The bedroom has a king sized bed with luxurious linen bedding, the ensuite has a generous sized walk in rainfall shower..

Approximately 20 minutes from the capital Portree, it enjoys stunning views of the Cuillins and the nearby Isle of Raasay. Sleeps a maximum of 4 in 2 bedrooms, spacious kitchen/dining room, cosy sitting room, washing machine and tumble dryer in separate utility room. Oil central heating and a wood burning stove. Not suitable for mobility issues as the bedrooms are upstairs or for overly tall people as the doorways are low!
