If you have a little one you want to bring with you. Victoria station is a 20 minute train away, as well as being 15 minutes away from Wimbledon and Croydon by tram. A short drive from Purley via the Brighton Road (A23) is Junction 7 of the M25 and Junction 8 of the M23 providing road access to Gatwick and Heathrow airports.
