The Carriage House and city of Morganton have power and are ready visitors. This guest house sits behind a historic home in downtown Morganton. The 1920s structure has restored original finishes : a claw foot tub, vintage bathroom sink, and farm house sink in the kitchen. Downstairs features original wood bead board ceilings. Upstairs the ceiling was removed to expose the roof and beams. Two fireplaces keep it cozy - you'll have a lovely place relax and listen to the rain on the metal roof.

The studio is about 800 square feet, giving you plenty of room during your stay. Our location is close to Hickory, Morganton, with easy drives to Lake James, Table Rock, Blue Ridge Parkway, Boone, and Charlotte. The best part is the peaceful setting on our 70-acre farm where you’re free to explore and enjoy the countryside.

Under a 10 minute drive to quaint downtown Hickory with plenty of shopping and historical districts nearby. Stay in and cook a warm meal while relaxing indoors or step out outside and have a seat on the bench under the covered front porch. Listen to the birds singing while flying about in the nearby tree. We personally live close to the property and will be available if you need us.

It has since been relocated, renovated, rejuvenated and found its way to the perfect location on our farm. Nestled in the beautiful foothills of the blueridge mountains, this one of a kind getaway is perfect for couples, small families or individuals. You can enjoy your morning coffee or stargaze at night from the rooftop deck, which boasts an amazing view of the South Mountains.

The 2-1-3 house

The 2-1-3 house is a charming 1950's bungalow right in the heart of hickory, just minutes from downtown, Lenoir Rhyne college, and many other corporate offices. Coffee houses, restaurants, grocery store, pharmacy and dry cleaning are all within walking distance. The 215 is pet friendly, however we REQUIRE a $20 pet fee, per pet ,also no more than 2 pets allowed. Animals can be no larger than 40 lbs. When you book please select the amount of guest including the pet/pets as guest.

Cottage A has a King BR, full bath, laundry room, and living room with pull out bed to accommodate up to 4 people.
