The property includes an outside firepit that is a favorite place for guests to relax and enjoy the breathtaking views of the mountains.

You have use of the entire farm during your stay. Located about 45 minutes south-east of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania's beautiful Laurel Highlands, there is lots to see and do both on site and nearby. Welty Place is a relaxing getaway nestled in the beautiful Laurel Highlands, yet conveniently located right along Route 982. It is just minutes from Arnold Palmer Airport and the city of Latrobe, as well as Westmoreland Fairgrounds. Pittsburgh is within an hours drive. Ohiopyle, Falling Water, and Seven Springs (20 miles away), are other nearby attractions. We welcome long term stays, including guests looking to work remotely. It truly has a “home away from home” feel.

A labor of love, we built this home with hopes of someday retiring here to enjoy all the area has to offer. In the heart of the Laurel Highlands this home is close to golf courses, ski resorts, museums, theaters, restaurants, numerous State Parks with great hiking and biking, Idlewild and Soakzone, and Ligonier Camp and Conference Center.

This space sports it’s own kitchenette and a private bath, perfect for the traveling business person or couples visiting the area while working remote and touring the country. It’s within walking distance to the Latrobe downtown business district, Amtrak Train Station, and Greyhound Bus stop. Perfect for traveling nurses with Excela Health Latrobe Hospital a ten minute walk away.

Each pod features a queen-size bed, a mini kitchenette with a coffee maker and microwave, and a dining table for two. Pods are equipped with heating and cooling, electricity, and WiFi. Though there's no bathroom inside, our luxury bathhouse with private stalls is just a short walk away and visible from your pod.

Enjoy fishing steps from the back deck as this home sits along Four Mile Run creek.
