The Lakeside River House

The cottage lies on the banks of Lake Rousseau. This is a very interesting lake. The lake is fed by the crystal clear waters of the Rainbow Springs system and the dark tannin stained waters of the Withlacoochee River. Back in the 1930's, the water shed was dammed up on its far western edge. The result was a creation of a 12 mile long lake with a river twisting through the center, all of which you will enjoy from your waters edge dock. Come and enjoy the Nature Coast right from the backyard.

On a very wide part of the beautiful Rainbow River. Surrounded on 3 sides by state property forests. Very secluded with its very own spring 40 feet from the main dock. Boat and swim docks, a kayak launch, a wraparound porch with an outdoor dining area. Includes access to our paddle boards, kayak, and floats. And the interior has been recently completely remodeled and updated. The main house has a beautiful bedroom with views of the river and a 2 bed loft. The guest house has a king bed.

Offering a beautiful and tranquil experience, this lakefront cottage is located directly on Lake Rousseau known for it's exemplary largemouth bass fishing. This quaint cottage comfortably sleeps 6 guests in a spacious master and two other bedrooms and also boasts two full bathrooms. The living area is bright and full of windows facing the lake and the kitchen is well stocked for enjoying a home cooked meal. The spacious back deck provides unobstructed views of the lakefront splendor.

River Retreats Escape/Angler’s Paradise

Country setting, FREE use of the Kayaks and golf cart, or take the kayaks to Rainbow River, my place is on the “Withlacoochee River” so you would put in at the neighborhood ramp and paddle North to get to the Rainbow River. The KP Hole and Rainbow Springs State Park are 10-15 min away. You can bring your own boat, “there is a boat ramp in the neighborhood”, and local ramps in town. Relax by the fire in the evening. Peaceful, quiet and only 10 minutes from town for shopping and dining.
