Located in a quiet grove, our home has a modern open plan living area which flows out to a large outdoor living area, featuring a private back yard with all day sun. Within walking distance there is a large lakefront reserve, cafe, tennis courts, kids playground and bush walks to explore. The supermarket is a 15 minute drive, general store 3 minute drive and 2 boat ramps just a minute away. Perfect base for Whakapapa ski field, Tongariro crossing and various mountain biking or walking tracks.

An additional small bedroom with a single bed is perfect for a 3rd guest or more space to spread out. Close to major attractions of the area and ideal to access the Tongariro Alpine Crossing. Soothing Riverside Cabin, Taumarunui

No cleaning fee, minimum 2 night stay. Cabin is a bedroom only, toilet, shower and kitchen located separately a few metres away. You are on the tip of a peninsula in the Whanganui River. Lie in bed and watch the fish rise in the morning, sit around the fire in the evening enjoying the peace and quiet after a swim. Mountains are 40 mins away, kayaking tours 10 mins away and Taumarunui is 12km. Please don't bring water, free, safe water is provided. Limiting plastic is much appreciated.

Our home sits high on a hill with amazing views over Lake Taupo and the surrounding countryside. There is NO wifi Our cosy cottage has two bedrooms, large bathroom/laundry space and an open plan kitchen, dining, living area heated by a large heat pump. The mighty Tongariro River with its world famous trout fishing pools is at the end of the road, the Turangi township is a 5 min drive or a beautiful walk past the river and the Whakapapa ski field and Tongariro crossing are only 40mins away.

For those fisherpeople you will be 10 to 20 minutes drive from world class trout/fly fishing spots. Turangi is 10 minutes drive south, with great cafes and restaurants, 40 minutes to Mt Ruapehu for fabulous skiing and the Sky Waka. Turangi is the hub for the adventure tourism activities.

Our cosy Apartment is located Motuoapa where you will wake with the Tuis and be perfectly situated for skiing, hiking the Tongariro crossing, fishing the lake or rivers or shopping in bustling Taupo, only 25 mins by car. The lakefront, a great café and the marina are a scenic 10 minute walk away, 2 minutes by car. The neighbourhood boasts a tennis court, basketball court, reserves and an abundance of native birds.
