Cleadale Bothy on Isle of Eigg

Sustainability is key to our way of life. We grow vegetables and keep chickens for their eggs. We burn locally grown wood and our water is heated by the sun. Our water supply is from a spring and reputed to be blessed by St Columba. Our electricity is generated by a renewables sources and distributed by Eigg Electric. There are stunning views in all directions - over the Atlantic to the Isle of Rum, behind to dramatic basalt cliffs plus scenic beaches and waterfalls situated close by.

Argyll Retreat is a cosy timber cabin located in the Argyll Forest Park and Loch Lomond and Trossachs Natiomal Park. It is owned and managed by myself. The lodge is layed out for a couple or solo travellers. Argyll is steeped in history and has miles of coastline, lochs, forests and mountains. The lodge is also a great place to relax. Enjoy. Dunans Cottage is situated in the beautiful Knapdale Forest 1.9 miles from Cairnbaan within a National Scenic Area. The views are fantastic! The Cottage is off the beaten track but within a traditional farming hamlet with access via a forestry track ( see illustrated map ). Many outdoor and indoor activities are available within the area but the peace and quiet at Dunans are unique.
