We have been told it is of the most beautiful locations in Colorado! 15 minutes to downtown Durango, 20 minutes to Purgatory Ski Resort, and 5 minutes to the Hot Springs & a shopping plaza, and 40 minutes to the airport. There is a cafe/gas station/liquor store across the road. We also have another airbnb here with a spa deck!

Stargazer Chalet is a charming countryside retreat boasting 5 bedrooms + loft, 3 bathrooms, and 2200 sq. ft. of cozy living space. Nestled beside a national forest, it includes a spacious 2-car garage with carport, a private hot tub for 3-4, and a large deck perfect for breathtaking stargazing nights. Just 5 miles south of Purgatory Resort, winter trips (November–March) require 4-wheel drive due to its elevated position. Owner-managed, the attentive host is only 5 minutes away for any needs!

Whether you are looking for a quite, private and secluded vacation spot or a home between two local ski resorts (Purgatory and Wolf Creek) this home offers the best of both worlds. This is also a great hunting spot, less than a quarter mile walk to public hunting property held by BLM. You can walk right out the door and hike, snow shoe, or sled down the driveway. We are not present when the home is occupied.
