Civil War Farm House w/Heated (seasonal) Pool

Welcome to this historical Civil War Farm House. This stone home built in 1861 by Christian Shriver and was actively used as a field hospital during the war. Mrs Shriver prepared General Reynolds his breakfast on the first day of the battle (which he was killed). The Durboraw's moved here in the early 1890's and have remained here on the farm ever since. Please note, pool is open seasonally mid-May through mid- Sept. Please inquire to its opening/closing if booking around these times.

Surrounded by 23,000 acres of protected wilderness, this cabin was created as a peaceful family retreat from city life-yet it's just a scenic 1.5-hour drive from DC and Baltimore. Expect quiet mornings, fresh mountain air, and a true West Virginia getaway.

Two-room guest suite with private entrance located in picturesque Catonsville, MD on a pre-Colonial road originally used for rolling tobacco to the harbor. Downtown Baltimore is 20 minutes away, BWI airport and Amtrak station 15 minutes, and our street is located on a bus route. Beautiful 3.5 mile walk to historic Ellicott City and an hour from Washington, D.C. Individuals and families with children are welcome, but the Airbnb member renting the property must be over the age of 25.
