A cozy cabin over looking the Manistee River on a very safe & peaceful private drive. There are many launch sites for rafting, kayaking and canoeing nearby. The cabin is centrally located between Cadillac, Interlochen, Frankfort & Traverse City. Snowmobile staging area, Caberfae & Crystal Mt. ski areas, Hodenpyle dam backwaters, North Country & Manistee River trails are nearby. Also with a three night stay we will drop you off or pick you up using your canoes or kayaks. Pictures are current.

"River Rock Cabin" on the Betsie River

I am the “River Rock Cabin". I sit atop the banks of the Betsie River, a few miles from Crystal Mountain. Some of my features are my kitchen, wood floors and log furniture. My unique finishes include my stair rail, my fish, and my river rock kitchen back splash hence my name. If you stay with me, I have 4 beds, cable tv and Wi-Fi. My outdoor amenities include a fire pit, patio, picnic table, chairs and a grill. You can access the river from my doorstep, however, please do this at your own risk.

Originally the front office for the log cabin retreats on Glen Lake, more recently this was 'Grandpa's Little Cabin', providing decades of family memories. Entering your cabin you will enjoy a new memory foam, queen-sized bed in a private studio cabin. Featuring a kitchen, bathroom, air conditioning, and free fast wifi! The Hawks Nest has been lovingly restored to its original glory while having all the modern-day amenities woven through its clean 380 sq. ft. space. Retreat to the spacious covered porch to relax and view the acre-and-half property leading down to 100ft of 6Mile Lake frontage. Star gaze while relaxing in the comfortable, Amish-built gilding chairs around the spacious, paver fire pit area .

Live like the Brady Bunch with authentic orange kitchen counters, with modern updates like a cozy gas stove, great knives and cookware, and high-quality linens. Private and fenced with deck and fire pit. Cabin is central to the Manistee National Forest, a short jaunt up to Sleeping Bear Dunes or Crystal Mountain, and the North Country Trail is just down the road. Ask me about fishing charters!
