The area offers many beautiful hiking trails through the unique mountains with jaw-dropping landscapes and is perfect to use as base camp and while hiking the area for few days. Gestir geta skoðað Stuðlagil Canyon og farið alla leið niður að ánni í botn gilsins. Nýjar gönguleiðir sem auðvelda göngu. Gestir verða þó gæta varkárni og lesa skilti við gönguleið.

Frá húsinu er stutt ganga í Studlagil Canyon og hægt að fara niður að ánni ofan í gilil. Góðir göngustígar og gestir hvattir til að lesa öryggisskilti við göngustíga. Frá okkur er hægt að fara fjölda dagleiða, inn á hálendi s.s. Askja, Herðubreið, Kverkfjöll, Kárahnjúkastífla eða á Borgarfjörð, Seyðisfjörð, Mjóafjörð, Dettifoss og fleira.

In Fljótsdal next to the farm Hóll in Norðurdalur is Hólshýsi. A cosy cottage that is surrounded by endless adventures and sounds of nature and wildlife. Close to countless highlights such as Hengifoss, Hallormstaður, the Wilderness Center and Laugarfell.

The tiny house is with double bed, kitchen space with stove, fridge, microwave and kitchen equipment. Bathroom with shower. Free wifi and free parking. The location is few meters from the canyon.
