Life is an Art is part of Oak Creek Apple Company’s Body-Mind-Spirit wellness division with an emphasis on supporting and improving emotional health through creating abstract acrylic pour paintings-Sedona style! This is an intuitive, transformational journey into artmaking, guided by the whispers of your very own soul. There are no mistakes possible because this is not an art "lesson", it is a free-flowing expression from within and no experience is necessary!
We open our time together by discussing how artmaking provides a powerful outlet for the the soul through abstract expression. We then take a few moments for quiet contemplation to center ourselves and still our minds, honoring our emotions and their role in our well-being. You will then be instructed step by step in how to create your own acrylic poured painting on canvas using colors which will represent your emotions. You'll gain emotional insight as the colors swirl and flow, creating images which represent various aspects of your soul. After painting, we will process how your painting represents your life and emotions.
This experience allows everyone, regardless of prior experience or skill level, to give their soul a voice by creating personal acrylic pour paintings which can be taken home and used for further mindful contemplation, meditation and goal setting.

I have been employed as an Activities Therapist for many years in some of the nation’s leading behavioral healthcare facilities and I am passionate about using my skills in therapeutic art and relaxation to lead both groups and individual clients into deeper levels of awareness, mindfulness, and enlightenment through the program I have developed called "Life is an Art". I offer online sessions as well as in-person sessions at my Secret Place Studio here in beautiful Sedona, AZ, and have my art currently displayed in galleries locally.
