Welcome to our barn conversion which we hope will provide you with the perfect escape, a base for your countryside adventures or a bed after exploring nearby towns and cities. Located on a working dairy farm the barn was converted in 2019 into 2 separate apartments each accommodating max 4 people. At the moment only the ground floor apartment is available to guests. Perfectly located with easy access from the M1 motorway, an hours drive from Dublin and Belfast and only 8 min by car to Dundalk.

Convenient parking on site, recently installed fibre WiFi, ideal for relaxation or remote working. Surrounding gardens include a native Irish woodland, orchard, vegetable and fruit garden. Situated a short distance from Omeath village and start of the Omeath Carlingford Greenway. 10 minutes drive to Carlingford and Newry.

Our 'Tranquil Haven by the River Fane' is just a 12.5 KM. drive from the M1 Motorway and part of the famous ‘Drumlin Country’ of Co Monaghan. 'Candlefort Lodge' is a 95 sq m./(1022sq ft.) sized apartment at the lower ground level of our home. It is self-contained, bright, and private. The granny flat is joined to our family home, a large 5 bedroomed house in the beautiful seaside village of Blackrock, Co Louth. We are less than 5 minutes walk to the beach, shops, bars and restaurants on the seafront of the village, from where there is a regular bus service in to Dundalk.

Dundalk is situated on the east coast, half way between Dublin and Belfast (80km) with a population of 35,000. Carlingford and the Mourne/Cooley mountain range only 38km away. My house is situated 5 mins from the town centre and 2 mins from Ice House Hill Park. It has just been renovated to a high standard and I love it! It has two double bedrooms, bathroom, open plan living space and back garden.

There are wonderful sandy beaches in Blackrock, Clogherhead and Port.

Cara Cottage is located on the outskirts of the village of Kilcoo in the heart of Mourne. In an idyllic quiet setting, there are breath-taking views and easy access to walking and biking trails nearby. A cosy one-bedroom detached cottage, sleeping 2 adults + 2 children or 4 adults, this is a perfect rural retreat for relaxation or a base to explore everything the local area has to offer.
