Rock Spring Retreat: Near Tappahannock!

Rock Spring Rentals LLC offers a secluded stay for those who value country living. The apartment is the perfect home base for day trips to Williamsburg, Jamestown, Yorktown, Richmond, Fredericksburg, state parks, wineries, beaches, and golf courses. This 440-sq-ft apartment has a separate ground-floor entrance (two steps to the bathroom area), a full kitchen, washer and dryer, and a luxurious shower. Perks include satellite television, a fire pit and miles of hiking trails of varying difficulty.

Welcome to the Butterfly Effect! Recharge at this tranquil getaway. 2.5 wooded acres with a private dock and cove, a short paddle away from the lake beach with a swimming dock and sandy beach! Fishing, swimming, and floating all on the protected freshwater lake. We have boats for your use, theater space & hot tub to wind down at night after dining on our deck. Picnic at our private Shark Tooth Beach, watch Osprey & Eagles fish the Potomac, and collect 15-million-year-old fossilized shark teeth!

Sunny, private 2nd floor suite at the river's edge features panoramic views of the Rappahannock and surrounding farmland. Take in fiery sunsets, sunrises, starry skies, eagles, ospreys and more. Swim, fish, explore waterways by kayak, or bike in tranquil, rural surroundings. Morning coffee on the balcony with the songbirds is a treat, and the riverfront deck, surrounded by trees is sublime. Nestled just off Rt.17, this charming studio space offers a cozy retreat in Virginia’s Middle Peninsula. Built circa 1889 and recently added to the National Register of Historic Places, Hoskins Country Store blends historic charm with modern comfort. Enjoy easy access to Tappahannock, the scenic Rappahannock River, and numerous historic sites. Whether you're seeking a peaceful getaway or an exploration of Virginia’s rich past, this unique space is the perfect place to relax and unwind.

The Tobacco Barn

A high-peaked ceiling and exposed-log crossbeams reveal the Tobacco Barn’s past life as a place for hanging tobacco leaves to dry. Now converted to a one-room guest house, it features a front porch swing, cozy fireplace, soapstone floors, a homey sitting area, and a tall, high-post bed. The pressed-tin ceiling and whiskey-barrel sink in the bathroom add to its charm. Pets are allowed and are charged a fee of $25 (first night) and $15 (per ea. add'l night). Maximum two-person occupancy.

Stargazer Tiny Cabin

(Winter: Stargazer has a diesel heater and a woodstove but is not insulated. The cabin can be kept quite warm into the low 30's if these heaters are running. Below freezing may freeze pipes, message for info) Rustic off grid tiny cabin tucked in the trees on the back side of a large field. The cabin has solar, kitchenette, shower, composting bathroom, heat, and Wifi! Enjoy being immersed in nature while staying comfortable in a quirky cabin built from local and reclaimed materials.

Some spaces feel different the moment you walk in. The Enchanted Studio is one of them. Perched on the second floor of a beautifully crafted Richmond home, the Enchanted Studio greets you with a wall of windows and a view that stops you — a rain garden, towering trees, and a creek threading quietly along the property's edge. Thoughtfully designed, this retreat works for however you need it: a quiet escape, a remote work base, or simply a place to decompress in a beautiful setting.

If your looking for a quiet place in a wooded setting, this is it. Cabin has view of private 7.5 acre pond, deck and walking trail to the scenic Dragon Run, with canoe portage. You are welcome to bring your canoe/kayak. Bird watchers, wildflower enthusiasts will enjoy what the Dragon Run has to offer. If shopping or history is your interest, this cabin is only 45 min away from Williamsburg, and will give you a place to relax.
