Blvd. to Seward Park offering its old-growth forest and pretty lakeside loop just one mile away. A short walk takes you to coffee shops and vibrant Columbia City is just 1.4 miles away with a convenient light rail station in the center of town.

Please note: The parking lot is a few minutes walk from the cottage.

Captain’s Cottage in Ballard on Corner Lot

The quiet and cozy Captain’s Cottage is an homage to the unique history of Ballard, where a large population of Scandinavians worked in the boat building industry at the turn of the 20th century. Inside showcases many treasures from the Captain’s seafaring travels. The house is situated on a corner lot with a front and back yard, where one can sit under the shade of fruit trees or take a walk to explore the neighborhood full of great restaurants, cafes and breweries with outdoor seating.

WELCOME to this delightful, comfy and cozy cottage with pocket views to the Seattle skyline, Cascade Mountains and Puget Sound shipping lanes. Less than 2 miles from the ferry terminal and downtown and only 3/4 mile from a public beach, you're surrounded by tall evergreen trees, resident bald eagles and gardens. Nestled between the barn and the milking parlor is The Creamery; a relaxing spot to spend a few days far from the rigors of the city. Here we made Dinah's Cheese for years, and now you can enjoy the sunrise from the comfort of your plush bed, warmed by the thick down comforter. The French Limousin cows may come up to your bedroom window, curious as to who is sharing the pastures this morning. The quiet will be startling, with little noise but coffee brewing in the kitchen.
